Design

The Honor 9X is a serious smartphone. This is evident from its looks. The display is impressive and in addition to the thin bezels, you get an impactful device. In terms of ergonomics, there are no questions. The Honor 9X is pleasant to work with. The rear panel around the perimeter has a metal frame with a nice shine.

Honor's developers continue with the experiments with iridescent gradients. Thus, Honor 9X wins the user again with its wonderful look.

Display

This model features a display with a diagonal of 6.59 inches. The resolution is classic: Full HD, 2340 x 1920 pixels. The density is almost 400 ppi. Taking into account that this is IPS and not OLED, even the most observant user will not notice the individual pixels. The huge display goes hand in hand with a mass of pluses: it's pleasant to watch video on and even more comfortable to scroll through web pages.

For people who like to read e-books on their smartphone, we share that the minimum brightness level is very soft. You will be happy to immerse yourself in different worlds at the end of the working day. And the maximum brightness allows you to read from the screen even in sunny weather. Viewing angles are maximised.

Performance

Honor 9X is based on a Kirin 710F processor. An important emphasis is placed on moderate power consumption. The graphics is assigned to Mali-G51. This model also goes with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage in the base version. Most users will find this memory sufficient. In case you run out, you can use the second SIM card slot to insert a microSD card.

Cameras

The Honor 9X is equipped with two photomodules: a 48-megapixel primary and a 2-megapixel secondary. With this, it is recommended to take photos at 12 MP resolution. Thus, the automatic mode of the smartphone can fully reveal the capabilities of the dual camera. The Honor 9X cleverly uses "smart" algorithms.

There is no criticism to the speed of the camera and autofocus. The detail of the frames is at the level and in the spirit of this price class. The background blur effect is excellent - both on macro photos and on those taken in a special "aperture" mode.

Separate attention deserves the front camera. It is not above the screen. That's because it's hidden and automatically appears when you select selfie mode. The quality of the photos taken using the 16 MP f/2.2 pull-out camera is not bad. You can boldly shoot in both daylight and dusk.

Autonomous operation

Honor 9X is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery. 100% charge guarantees you a full day of carefree phone usage. Especially economical users who do not have the habit of staring at the smartphone screen for an hour can extend this indicator significantly.

A USB Type-C port is used in the Honor 9X. The charging speed is not the fastest on the market. In 15 minutes, the Honor 9X will charge up to 18% and in an hour - up to 79%. After 90 minutes, you can count on a 90% charge.

Conclusion

Honor 9X has all the chances to become a real star in its price segment.
