Differences between Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and Samsung Galaxy A73 5G - Which to Choose?
Samsung has released two new phones, the Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A73 5G, that are very similar but also have some key differences. In this post, we'll explain the differences between these two phones and help you decide which one is better for you.
Let's start with the similarities. Both phones have 5G capabilities, which means they can connect to the fastest cellular networks available today. They also have the same battery capacity of 5000 mAh and support 25W fast charging, which means you can charge your phone quickly when you're on the go. Additionally, both phones run on the latest version of Android 12 with Samsung's One UI 4.1 skin on top, which provides a clean and modern user interface.
When it comes to differences, the first thing you'll notice is the design. The A53 5G has a plastic back and frame, while the A73 5G has a more premium glass back and plastic frame. The A73 5G also comes in three different colors - gray, mint, and white - compared to the A53 5G's four color options.
Moving on to the display, both phones have a 6.5-inch screen with a 1080 x 2400 resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. However, the A73 5G has a slightly larger 6.7-inch screen with the same resolution and aspect ratio. The A73 5G also uses Super AMOLED Plus technology, which provides a more vibrant and punchy display than the A53 5G's Super AMOLED screen. Additionally, the A73 5G has a slightly lower pixel density of 393 ppi compared to the A53 5G's 405 ppi.
In terms of performance, the A73 5G has a slightly more powerful chipset - the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G - compared to the A53 5G's Exynos 1280 (5 nm) chipset. The A73 5G also has a more powerful GPU, the Adreno 642L, which can provide better gaming performance. However, the A53 5G has more memory options, with up to 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM available compared to the A73 5G's maximum of 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.
When it comes to the camera, both phones have a quad-camera setup on the back, with a 64-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and two 5-megapixel sensors for macro and depth shots. The A73 5G, however, has a more impressive 108-megapixel main sensor compared to the A53 5G's 64-megapixel sensor. The A73 5G's camera also supports more advanced features like optical image stabilization (OIS) and can record 4K video at 30 frames per second.
Lastly, the A53 5G has a headphone jack, while the A73 5G does not. The A73 5G also supports Wi-Fi 6, the latest and fastest Wi-Fi standard, while the A53 5G only supports Wi-Fi 5.
So, which one is better? Well, it depends on your needs. If you're looking for a more affordable phone with plenty of memory options, the A53 5G might be the better choice for you. However, if you're looking for a phone with a more premium design, a better display, and a more powerful camera, the A73 5G is the way to go.
