Display

The front panel of the phone is graced by a 5.7-inch IPS screen. The aspect ratio is 18:9. The screen occupies 78% of the front panel area.

Grasping the Alcatel 3x in your hand, it won't feel too big or too heavy. Its screen is bright and offers clear and colorful image. The viewing angles have a wide range. The resolution is 720 x 1440 pixels. The pixel density is low but completely as per the standard of this price range.

An important point: the screen of the Alcatel 3x does not have Gorilla Glass protection. In everyday use, it is easy to make scratches on it. We recommend using it with care and attention.

Fingerprint scanner

Directly below the lens on the back panel of the phone is the fingerprint scanner. It works with minimal delay compared to more expensive models on the market.

Performance

The Alcatel 3x is based on a 1.28 GHz quad-core processor in the form of the MediaTek MT6739 chip. It easily achieves the performance set by this class of phones. It is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. The latter can be expanded if necessary with a microSD memory card.

The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 operating system.

Cameras

The Alcatel 3x has a dual main camera - 13 MP and 5 MP. The front camera is a 5 megapixel camera. The manufacturer has provided a 120-degree wide-angle lens.

The smartphone is equipped with electronic image stabilization (EIS) and dual-tone LED flash.

Autonomous operation

When choosing a budget device, it doesn't necessarily mean a verdict - poor level of autonomous operation. In the case of the Alcatel 3x, you get an enviable benchmark. The battery capacity is 3000 mAh. With such a charge, you can count on almost a full day of trouble-free service under moderate load. As with any other phone, the more time the display is active and the higher the brightness level, the faster the charge depletes.

With a full charge and at maximum brightness, the Alcatel 3x will only consume 15% of its original battery reading in a 90-minute video viewing session.

Conclusion

The Alcatel 3X smartphone is a representative of the budget segment. It has no default requests for a super-innovative device. It is designed for people who want to have a device with a large display, attractive looks and basic practical features. The device lies nicely in the palm. Its dimensions are: 73.6x153.5x8.75 mm. The construction of the housing makes it non-slip.

Pros:

  • Good feature set for its price;
  • Dual camera with additional settings;
  • Excellent battery capacity.

Minuses:

  • There's a lot to be desired in terms of the processor;
  • Screen can be easily scratched;
  • No fast charging feature;
  • Screen resolution is low.
