Design and display

The design of the TCL 305 smartphone is not particularly unique, but it is suitable for its target budget audience. It features a flat back and beveled edges on the sides. The phone comes in two classic colors, Space Gray and Atlantic Blue, making it a good option for those looking to buy a phone at a low price.

The TCL 305 smartphone features a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of just 720p. It lacks a high refresh rate, and the 450-nit brightness can make it difficult to use in direct sunlight. Also, the phone lacks Gorilla Glass protection, which can affect the overall display experience.

Memory and performance

The TCL 305 smartphone is powered by a 12nm MediaTek Helio A22 chipset with PowerVR GE8320 GPU support. It can reach a maximum clock speed of 2GHz, providing average performance. It may not be suitable for heavy gaming, but it can handle basic applications and daily tasks.

The TCL 305 smartphone comes with the ability to customize it according to your needs, but it is limited to basic applications. It has 2GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage options, with the option to expand the memory using the dedicated SD card slot. However, low RAM and performance are significant drawbacks of this device.

The triple rear camera system of the TCL 305 smartphone features a 13MP main sensor, a 2MP macro and a depth sensor. The camera can take decent photos in daylight, but the quality of photos taken at night is below average with visible noise. Expectations should be low with this older camera setup.

The smartphone's front camera is 5MP, which is average and lacks detail. The picture quality is not very good. The phone can shoot 1080p video at 30 FPS from both the front and rear cameras.

The TCL 305 smartphone has a large 5000 mAh battery which is one of its best features. It lasts for several days on a single charge, although charging may take longer due to the lack of fast charging support. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, radio, OTG and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The device can be purchased for around $200 for the base 2GB variant.
