Design

It's hard to tell the difference between the look of the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro, but there is one. The design concept has not changed. Again, we have in front of us a glass smartphone with a metal flat frame. However, it is slightly thicker and heavier. Ie you will not be able to put it in the cases of the predecessor. Another reason to buy a new case is the camera unit, which has significantly increased in size.

Looking at the back of the iPhone 13 Pro, we find frosted glass. It is perfect to the touch and leaves no traces of prints.

The choice of body colors is based on 4 options - Graphite, Silver, Gold and Sierra Blue.

Display

The screen of the iPhone 13 Pro is called the Super Retina XDR display. Its diagonal is 6.1 inches, the resolution - 2532 x 1170 pixels, at a pixel density of 460 inches. The aspect ratio is 19.5: 9.

You will notice that the slot for the front camera and TrueDepth sensors is narrower. This is the first time since the appearance of the iPhone X on the market.

We see a long-awaited innovation in the iPhone 13 Pro in the face of the picture refresh rate - 120 Hz. ProMotion technology with adaptive frequency can change it in the range from 10 to 120 Hz!

Another important change is the backlight. Now its maximum is 1200 cd / m2.

Productivity

Traditionally, each new Apple smartphone beats the performance of the previous one. The same goes for the iPhone 13 Pro. It is equipped with an A15 Bionic processor. This is a 5-nm chip known since last year. This time it is a graphics with 5 cores, not 4. The processor has 2 high-performance cores, 4 energy-efficient cores and a 16-core Neural Engine for tasks requiring AI.

The device is available in a modification with 1 TB storage, and the basic version is 128 GB. RAM has not changed - 6 GB for all Pro models.

You can only feel the heat of the iPhone 13 Pro case when playing games with AR and when shooting long videos with subsequent processing of the smartphone. In the rest the device is not loaded in any way.

Cameras

A key place in every presentation of Apple is the topic with the photographic capabilities of the new smartphones. It is logical that this question should excite anyone who is considering buying an iPhone 13 Pro. It is now equipped with new sensors from Sony. They have kept their resolution, but other indicators have changed.

The main module of the rear camera is 12-megapixel wide-angle with an aperture of ƒ / 1.5. It is complemented by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with an angle of 120 degrees and an aperture of ƒ / 1.8. The telephoto module is 12-megapixel with an aperture of ƒ / 2.8 and three times the optical zoom.

As always, the amount of megapixels does not determine the quality of the cameras. Post-processing algorithms are much more important. They work wonders on Apple phones.

In the camera application you will find Cinematic Mode as a separate shooting mode and a button to select Photographic Styles. The user is immediately greeted by a choice of five styles - Standart, Rich Contrast. They can be changed at any time.

Night photos are noticeably better. If you love shooting videos, the iPhone 13 Pro is a choice that will live up to your expectations. Even at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, the stabilization remains remarkable. The smartphone handles the white balance perfectly, and the sound is striking!

Autonomous work

A reason for joy for fans of the brand is the autonomy of the iPhone 13 Pro. This year the battery capacity is 3095 mAh. Its durability is increased by 30 minutes compared to the iPhone 12 Pro.

With a standard charger, recharging the battery takes more than 3 and a half hours. With more power you can expect an even better result. With the company's 20W unit, the charging time is 50% in half an hour.

Conclusion

iPhone 13 Pro is a flagship device that has received a set of new sensors in the main camera, has significantly improved battery life and a display with support for a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Pros:

  • Great case
  • IP68 protection
  • Captivating display and picture
  • High performance
  • iOS 15
  • Increased autonomous work

Cons:

  • High price
  • The cameras could offer more interesting updates
