Design

It can't be said that the Blu G61 has a super attractive look. There's nothing extravagant or too distinctive about its design. The body pleases with rounded shapes that will definitely contribute to the comfortable handling of the device. Its dimensions, however, make an impression. They will appeal to men with large hands, but ladies may experience a slight discomfort. At least they will need time to get used to working with it and try using only one hand.

The Blu G61 weighs 196 grams, which is perfectly normal. On the back panel, we see a clean look. A standard-looking camera unit in the top left corner, a fingerprint scanner near it, and the company logo in the bottom left corner.

The front offers the display, which is surrounded by thick bezels. Most noticeable is the one at the bottom edge. The front camera is positioned in a notch at the top.

The Blu G61 can be yours in any of its four exciting colors - green, blue red and black.

Display

The smartphone is endowed with a large 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Its size implies a complete entertainment experience with games, movies, videos and other content. It is a perfect choice for people who have a habit of working with text files.

Taking up over 81% of the front panel, the screen looks impressive and beautiful. The resolution is 720 x 1600 pixels, and you may be impressed by the low brightness. Indoors it will be comfortable, but on a sunny day you'll notice the picture fading.

Performance

The Blu G61 is based on an 8-core Unisoc SC9863A processor, executed on a 28nm process, which is complemented by 3 GB of RAM. With this amount of RAM, difficulties are unlikely to arise. The storage capacity is 64 GB. It is enough to store a lot of photos, videos and other content. The manufacturer has provided the option of inserting a memory card to solve your need for more storage. This is one of the advantages of the Blu G61.

Cameras

The smartphone is equipped with a dual rear camera, the main module of which is 13-megapixel. It is complemented by a 0.3-megapixel sensor tasked with letting you create photos with a bokeh effect. For better quality shots, the manufacturer has provided an LED flash. We advise you to use it when shooting indoors or in the dark hours of the day.

With the main camera, you can shoot decent high-resolution videos.

The Blu G61 also has a front-facing camera that is far from flagship. It is single and can offer you average quality photos. It's enough to take selfies, but don't think about group shots. Photo capabilities are not one of the strong points of this smartphone.

Autonomous operation

With its over 9cm thickness, the Blu G61 predictably has a large capacity battery - 5000mAh. This high figure compared to other models from the company suggests that you can count on long hours of interaction before reaching for the charger. Even prolonged watching of videos and playing games won't provoke too fast a charge drain.

A 10W charger comes with the device. There is no fast recharge technology. So you'll have to wait about 2 hours to recharge the entire battery. Blu G61 cannot be used as an external battery as it does not support reverse charging.

Conclusion

Blu G61 is a typical representative of the low price class phones. It appears on the market as an interesting competitor to other budget devices as early as the beginning of 2021. Each of its features speaks for basic functionality.

If you're looking for a device to be your assistant in performing everyday tasks, choose the Blu G61 boldly. For exciting photo and video projects, playing heavy games and using sophisticated apps, go for a more advanced model. You'll find these in the same manufacturer's portfolio as well as others.
