Design

In terms of design and ergonomics, the P Smart S will impress you pleasantly. It has a classic look, to which we can add a relatively large display, bevelled corners on the back panel, as the new fashion trends say, and also a slim body. Thus, the device lies comfortably in the user's palm and does not give the feeling that you will drop it.

P Smart S has a set of cameras that are typical of modern standards. The main one, located at the back slightly protruding, consists of 3 modules and a flash. The front camera is in a display notch. The fingerprint scanner, on the other hand, is embedded below the screen. These are solutions that we know from flagship smartphones and are starting to see more often in their cheaper alternatives.

The P Smart S's body color is the other interesting point. The device has a nice gradient effect, which is complemented by the matte. The build quality is top notch. It can be said that the model looks like a representative of a higher class.

Display

The screen of the P Smart S has typical characteristics and occupies quite a large part of the front panel - 83.2%. The display diagonal is 6.3 inches. It is made using OLED technology and has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. There is a notch in it which is circular in shape and can be masked at will from the settings. The display works perfectly. The contrast is excellent, there is colour saturation and the viewing angles are great.

With such a diagonal display, the user can use the smartphone with one hand. The fingerprint scanner is located at a comfortable distance. In the settings, there is an option to adjust the color rendering and color saturation. If you use the maximum indicator, you will read the information on the screen even on a bright sunny day.

Performance

Underneath the beautiful body of the P Smart S lies Huawei's proprietary Kirin 710F processor, consisting of 8 cores, including 4 Cortex-A73 at 2.2 GHz and another 4 Cortex-A53 - up to 1.7 GHz. The graphics is assigned to Mali G51-MP4.

In memory, we see not bad performance. The RAM is 4 GB and the internal memory is 128 GB. For a mid-budget device this is quite enough, even surprising. If by chance your storage is small, you can expand it using a microSD memory card of 256 GB.

The P Smart S doesn't count among the devices that are high-performance, but you can play popular games on it without a problem. The only exceptions are games that require high graphics settings. With these, you may feel the device slowing down. Every daily task, such as using messengers, surfing the web or social networking, will be implemented smoothly and quickly.

Cameras

The main camera of the P Smart S consists of a 48 MP module with an aperture of f/1.8, an 8 MP wide-angle module with an angle of view of 120 degrees and a light intensity of f/2.4 and a 2 MP sensor for measuring the depth of the frame (f/2.4). Given the price segment this device belongs to, the photos will be of a quality far from what flagships are capable of. At the same time, the camera's algorithm is good. In sufficient light, the photos will be worthy of sharing on social networks. Among the modes, there are "photo", "night", "panorama", manual mode, High-Res, etc.

With the P Smart S, you can take portrait shots with blurred backgrounds, and hours of experimentation await with the beautify feature. The ultra-wide lens lets you capture more space in a single frame. With such optics, detail is traditionally reduced.

With the base camera, you can shoot Full HD video at 60 frames per second.

The front camera in the P Smart S is 16 MP with f/2.0 aperture and flash. Here, the quality of selfies will depend entirely on the light level.

Autonomous operation

The P Smart S is a smartphone with a non-removable 4000 mAh battery. Fast charging technology is not provided. Thus, the return of charge from 0 to 100% happens in 2-3 hours. Thanks to software optimization, the smartphone offers autonomy that will satisfy many - a full working day on a single charge.

Conclusion

The P Smart S is a well-balanced device that offers not bad performance, a good OLED display and a sub-screen fingerprint scanner.
