If you have been eyeing the Huawei P30 Pro and P30 models, then you can easily pair the Huawei P30 lite with them. The similarities are there. The device has retained the smooth contours of the Pro-version and the elongated notes of the compact P30. In the lite-version, we see a smooth transition of the rear panel to the sides, rounded corners and a small drop at the edges of the front.
The Huawei P30 lite is just 7.34mm thick and 72.7mm wide, offering enough comfort to grip in one hand. The weight of the model is balanced by modern standards - 159 grams.
The body is made of glass and metal. The screen and the reverse side of the device are made of tough tempered glass, and the frame - of metal. Tests show that it is not easy to leave scratches on the housing. In the hand, the Huawei P30 lite feels sturdy and reliable. The construction raises no doubts.
The oleophobic coating is present on both sides. It is quite high quality. On the Huawei P30 lite in black, finger marks are imperceptible. Due to the slightly slippery back side, it is recommended to get a protective case. This should not be seen as a serious minus, as few people use their phone without a case these days.
The display diagonal of the Huawei P30 lite is 6.15 inches. In the Pro-version, this indicator was slightly larger - 6.47 inches, and in the P30 - smaller - 6.1 inches. The screen resolution is FullHD+, i.e. 2312 x 1080 pixels at a density of 415 ppi. Excellent benchmark. In addition, the matrix is implemented on LTPS technology.
At the top of the Huawei P30 lite screen, we see a small notch that is easily hidden in the display settings. Again, there you can adjust the color mode and temperature, vision protection, screen resolution and other useful parameters.
The brightness of the Huawei P30 lite's screen matrix is slightly above average. In the light, the display is slightly discolored, but the information is still legible. The viewing angles are maximum.
Performance and memory
In the Huawei P30 lite, the manufacturer offers 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. A microSD memory card slot is provided. However, it is combined with the one for SIM card. Therefore, the user has to decide - to use 2 SIM cards or one + more memory.
As for the processor, the company has opted for SoC HiSilicon Kirin 710 (12 nm, ARM 4xCortex-A73 2.2 GHz + 4xCortex-A53 1.7 GHz). In the role of graphics accelerator enters Mali-G51 MP4.
The performance of Huawei phones has long not provoked questions and doubts. The interface may not appeal to everyone, but it works quite quickly and without any hitches. Games run perfectly, but not at maximum parameters. This is explained by not the most powerful processor.
The fingerprint scanner is located at the top of the rear panel. This solution distinguishes the model from others in the series, where the scanner is in the screen. Fingerprint recognition is accurate and virtually instantaneous. Additional applications can be set up in the fingerprint recognition settings.
Facial recognition is perfect in 9 out of 10 cases. Avoid scanning when your face is against the sun. In other cases, the device responds instantly.
The main trump card of the Huawei P30 lite is the triple camera module. The main camera is a combination 24-megapixel module (f/1.8), an 8 MP wide-angle (17 mm, f/2.4) and an additional one with 2MP to blur the background, i.e. digital bokeh effect.
The main module shoots typically for this price segment. The wide-angle one impresses with its results. It offers a wider angle of view, nice colours, wide dynamic range, etc.
In the evening, if you use the special night mode, the smartphone shoots not bad. However, the automation slightly overexposes and the subjects of the photos lose some of their natural colors.
With the Huawei P30 lite in hand, you'll be shooting FullHD resolution videos at 30 or 60 frames per second. With the front-facing camera (32 MP, f/2.0 aperture), you'll be able to skillfully create videos for your vlog. The sound is clear and stereo.
Finally, we should mention that in this Huawei model the user gets augmented reality, Night mode, Pro mode and slow motion photos. The augmented reality feature allows the user to create their own animojis as well as other fun effects.
Practice has shown that optimization is the key to success when it comes to autonomous working. The battery capacity of the Huawei P30 lite is 3340 mAh. Thanks to a job well done by the engineers, it offers a satisfactory runtime. The smartphone is capable of 9 hours of video playback at maximum screen brightness. It allows up to 6 hours of gaming - again at maximum brightness. Active use of the device will melt the charge in 14 hours.
The recharging itself will not provoke resentment. It is quickly implemented thanks to a 5B/2A, 9B/2A adapter. For a 100% charge you will need to charge the device 1 hour and 25 minutes.
Tempered glass on both sides, quality oleophobic coating, perfect ergonomics, recognizable design, as close as possible to that of flagship devices... Huawei P30 lite has everything you need to win the trust of the modern consumer.
A fingerprint scanner and facial recognition are provided to protect user data. The scanner is fast. It works instantly.
