Design

The Huawei P40 Lite E has a plastic body, whose dimensions amount to 159.8 × 76.1 × 8.1 mm at a weight of 176 grams. According to modern understandings, this smartphone is of average dimensions. You will handle it comfortably.

Casting a glance at the front panel, we find that practically its entire area is occupied by a screen with small bezels. In the upper left corner is located a notch for the front camera. The back panel is made of plastic, which cleverly imitates glass, but to the touch protrudes. There you will also find a decoration with a "stereo" effect.

Display

The smartphone relies on a 6.39-inch IPS matrix with a resolution of 1560x720 pixels. The aspect ratio is 19.5:9. Given the budget nature of the Huawei P40 Lite E, the display quality is acceptable.

Performance

Beneath the beautiful looks of the Huawei P40 Lite E lies an 8-core Kirin 710F processor of its own development, coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The device supports 2 SIM card operation. It is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.0. NFC module for contactless payments is absent.

The fingerprint scanner works quickly and confidently.

The Huawei P40 Lite E runs on Android 9 operating system, complemented by the EMUI 9.1 interface.

Cameras

The rear camera of the Huawei P40 Lite E includes three modules: a main 48 MP with f/1.8 aperture and 27 mm viewing angle, a wide-angle 8 MP with f/2.4 aperture and a depth-of-frame module. The photos taken with the Huawei P40 Lite E don't stand out with the highest quality. In most cases, the footage pleases. Using the ultra-wide module makes sense if the subject you want to photograph doesn't fit in the frame. Photos in this mode come out less detailed.

The front camera of the Huawei P40 Lite E will offer you not bad photos. It is equipped with an 8 MP module with f/2.0 aperture.

Autonomous operation

This Huawei model is equipped with 4000 mAh battery capacity. Under normal load, it will serve you a day and a half, even two. The excellent result is due to the low resolution of the screen. The smartphone is not equipped with fast charging technology. It will take about 2 hours for a full charge.

Conclusion

Huawei P40 Lite E is a basic device. It is geared towards users who don't have high demands on their smartphone. If you play heavy games and aim for social media popularity with the photos and videos you take, take a look at the higher-end models.

Pros:

  • Cute looks;
  • Symmetrical and thin display bezels;
  • Good main camera;
  • Support for working with 2 SIM cards and a memory card at the same time.

Minuses:

  • Low screen resolution;
  • Inexpressive sound;
  • Weak front camera;
  • No support for Google services;
  • NFC module is absent.
