Intro

The Chinese company Huawei, despite the difficult conditions in which it found itself in recent years, manages to hold the attention of consumers. With great effort and knowledge of trends, it is increasing sales worldwide. The reason is the emphasis on value for money. In addition, its developers are trying to competently segment the product range. In the summer of 2021, another offspring of Huawei appeared on the market - a model that impresses with its photographic capabilities, but not only. This is the Huawei P50.

Design

Huawei P50 looks great, no matter what color of the case you choose. You can choose between black, white and gold. The design is definitely incredibly beautiful. The layout of the three rear camera modules contributes to this. Although it looks slightly massive, it is atypical and original. This sets the Huawei P50 apart from other devices on the market.

Looking at the front panel, we see a screen that occupies it almost entirely. A fact that will appeal to anyone who likes to play games or watch movies on their phone.

The body itself makes an impression that it is strong and refined to the smallest detail. The back panel is made of solid tempered glass and the edges are made of metal. The fingerprint scanner below the screen only provokes approval.

Finally, we must mention that the Huawei P50 is protected by the IP68 standard, which guarantees you a challenging device. It will survive immersion in water up to 1.5 meters for a maximum of 30 minutes. Not afraid of moisture and dust.

Display

The picture of the AMOLED panel of Huawei P50 has excellent brightness and contrast parameters. The good impression is enhanced by the resolution of 2700 x 1224 pixels and the image refresh rate - 90 Hz. We must add a quality oleophobic coating to them.

With this, the 6.5-inch display has every chance to make you prefer this model over many others. Compared to the entire front panel, it occupies 88%, which leaves no room for space.

Huawei P50 is a great choice if you like watching movies on your smartphone. Gamers will also like it. Each content on the screen looks colorful, lively and more captivating.

Productivity

The technical characteristics of Huawei P50 are excellent for the most part. It is based on a top solution such as the Snapdragon 888 chipset in combination with 8 GB of RAM and Adreno 660 video accelerator. Thus, the smartphone easily copes with medium and heavy games at maximum graphics performance. However, this mode is often associated with serious energy consumption. Sensitive heating of the device is noticeable after a few hours of gaming.

The Huawei P50 is available in several modifications - with 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. The memory card slot is shared, but its very presence guarantees that you can increase the storage at any time to store more favorite photos and videos.

The smartphone comes with the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system, which is easy to use and offers modern features.

Cameras

We mentioned the photo capabilities of the Huawei P50 from the beginning. It's time to tell you what they are. The rear camera is triple with optical stabilization. The main module is 50-megapixel, wide-angle with laser autofocus and f / 1.8 aperture. It is complemented by a 12 MP telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom and a 13 MP ultra-wide angle module that will capture many more people and objects in one frame. Given that the optics are Leica, you can expect photos and videos with excellent parameters. The dual LED flash also contributes to higher quality.

The selfie camera also deserves attention. It is 13-megapixel and wide-angle. Offers advanced filters to create exciting photos to post on social media.

With the Huawei P50 you can make 4K videos at 30 or 60 frames per second, which is a good indicator for a camera in this price range.

Autonomous work

Huawei P50 is equipped with a fairly large battery - 4100 mAh, which provides about 10 hours of active screen time. With a more moderate mode of use you can count on 1-2 days. To have 100% recharged as quickly as possible, the manufacturer has provided 66W fast charging technology.

Conclusion

Huawei P50 is a modern smartphone that combines performance, quality picture and stylish design. It will also win you over with its sound and support for contactless NFC payments. Although Google services are not available, you can rely on the alternative that Huawei offers.
