Design

The phone has a body that is entirely made of plastic. Two colors are available - blue (matte and glossy part) and black, which contains small shiny elements. No matter which option you prefer, you'll have a beautiful phone by your side. 

On the back of the Huawei Y6s body is the fingerprint scanner. It is not inferior in terms of performance to more expensive models on the market. It works faster than the built-in under-screen variant. The Huawei Y6s can also be unlocked via facial recognition. The mechanism works quickly and efficiently. However, it is more unreliable as it uses only one camera. 

Display

The Huawei Y6s features an IPS matrix screen with a diagonal of 6.09 inches. The resolution stands at 1560 x 720 pixels. That is to say, it is an HD screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The pixel density per inch is 282. The colours are pure and saturated. The brightness is sufficient. 

About the Huawei Y6s model, it should also be said that the bezels around the screen are thin, which is completely in the spirit of modern trends.

Performance

The Huawei Y6s is based on an 8-core Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 processor 4 cores x 2.3 GHz clock speed and another 4 cores x 1.8 GHz. The chip is supported by 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal space. The memory can optionally be expanded using a microSD card up to 512 GB. However, its use does not mean giving up the use of the second SIM card slot. There are three slots.

The performance of the processor for this price range is sufficient. If you lower the graphics settings, you can also enjoy heavier games.

Cameras 

Where to go without the capabilities of smartphone cameras these days? Specifically, the Huawei Y6s has only received a single camera on the rear of the body. It has a 13 MP resolution, f/1.8 brightness. The front camera is an 8-megapixel one with an aperture of f/2.0. The device supports 720p and 1080p video recording at up to 30fps. 

The Huawei Y6s boasts a simplified camera application compared to other Huawei models. It does not support artificial intelligence or other advanced features. The main modes are expressed in photo, cinema and digital makeup. 

Considering that the camera lacks stabilization or night mode, you can't expect miracles from the night shots taken with Huawei Y6s. If you're in the habit of frequently shooting at late hours of the day, look for another device. 

Autonomous operation

The Huawei Y6s battery has a capacity of 3020 mAh. The included charger is only 5 watts. Fast charging technology is not supported. While playing YouTube videos with the screen brightness set to 50%, the phone will consume up to 10% of the battery in 11 hours. You can safely count on 12 hours of continuous video viewing.

For a budget device, the Huawei Y6s delivers a sufficiently long battery life even with heavy usage.

Huawei Y6s is an inexpensive smartphone that features a single camera and a quality-made plastic body. Its cleanliness and simplicity are reflected in its lower price. The screen is satisfyingly good, as is the level of performance. Pictures are of good quality in uncomplicated conditions. Autonomous operation is among the definite pluses. The model also gets a special advantage because of the fast and efficient fingerprint scanner. 

On the other hand, the Huawei Y6s does not have NFC for contactless payments.
