The look of the Huawei Y7 2019 is very reminiscent of that of the P Smart 2019 model. Of course, there are differences. However, the similarities are immediately perceptible by looking at the similar arrangement of elements on the rear panel.

Huawei has opted for three color choices for the Y7 2019 - black, iridescent blue, and red.

The body of the smartphone is completely plastic. The perimeter bezel is matte and not glossy as it is on the back.

The screen diagonal of the Huawei Y7 2019 has increased to 6.26 inches. The aspect ratio is now 19:9. The matrix has remained unchanged - the same IPS screen with HD+ resolution (1520×720) and a pixel density of 269 inches.

The smartphone is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 and Adreno 506 graphics accelerator. The processor is implemented on 14nm process technology, consists of 8 Cortex-A53 cores with a maximum clock speed of up to 1.8 GHz.

Huawei Y7 2019 is available in the market in one modification - with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The latter can be expanded with a microSD memory card up to 512 GB.

The main camera is dual. The main module has a resolution of 13 MP, a not bad luminosity of f/1.8 and phase autofocus. The second module is 2-megapixel. It serves to blur the background.

The smartphone shoots normally in good daylight. It shows acceptable detail, well selected white balance. In a room, the photos slightly deteriorate in quality.

With the Huawei Y7 2019, you can shoot videos in Full HD resolution at 30 frames per second. There is no electronic stabilization, as slow motion or sped up photo.

The front camera is 8-megapixel and has an aperture of f/2.0. In other words, a typical camera that won't amaze anyone with detail. A face beautification mode is available. The flash is cleverly hidden. When activated, the display also turns on, which further illuminates the face.

Huawei Y7 2019 features an excellent fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. It works quickly and robustly. On this indicator, there is no criticism.

Face unlock is also available to the user. It works at a decently good level. If the camera does not detect enough light, the brightness of the display increases until the smartphone fails to recognize the owner.

Autonomous operation

The biggest difference between the 2019 model and the one a year earlier is in the battery. The capacity of the new model is 4000 mAh, which is a pretty good ask. The results subsequently show it.

Considering the processor, screen size and resolution, the user gets a decent battery life. You will be able to charge the Huawei Y7 2019 every two days with ease.

From everything said so far, it can be concluded that Huawei has successfully updated one of its most interesting models in this price range. The Huawei Y7 2019 is shaping up to be a hit. It offers a large screen, not bad design with interesting colors, better performance and, of course, excellent autonomous operation.
