Design

The body of the Infinix Hot 11 Play is made entirely of plastic. It is noteworthy that its screen, like other products of the brand, has a coating that prevents your fingerprints from accumulating on it. In terms of design, however, the phone offers nothing new. Perhaps that will happen soon. However, we must mention the slim lens system of the main camera. Thus, the device is not too thick, which will definitely appeal to users.

Infinix Hot 11 Play ranks among the smartphones weighing less than 200 grams. It has a comfortable size and feels nice in the palm. Few will find it difficult to use with one hand.

Display

The smartphone impresses with a 6.82-inch IPS LCD display with a low resolution of just 720 x 1640 pixels. A good indicator is the picture refresh rate - it ranges between 90 and 180 Hz, which definitely helps for smooth images. With the Infinix Hot 11 Play it will be a delight to watch videos, movies and other type of engaging content including games.

Performance

Underneath the beautiful look of the smartphone, which comes in a green, gold, black or blue casing, is a MediaTek MT6765G Helio G35 chipset, familiar to us from the Infinix Hot 11S and Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime.

The Infinix Hot 11 Play works well in multitasking mode, with no noticeable slowdown. It handles the latest games and streaming video.

The graphics is assigned to a PowerVR GE8320 video accelerator. On the market you will meet two modifications - with 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage. The latter you can expand, since the manufacturer has provided this option. The good news is that this will not be at the expense of a SIM card. You have a separate microSDXC slot available.

Cameras

The smartphone's photography capabilities are assigned to a dual rear camera with a 13-megapixel main sensor, complemented by a 2-megapixel depth-metering module. For better quality photos and videos, you can rely on an artificial intelligence algorithm and a bunch of settings you can tweak. Among them are Super Night, Short Video and a powerful HRD.

As a result, the Infinix Hot 11 Play takes good night time photos and clear and detailed pictures during daylight hours. Colors delight with naturalness and brightness.

As for the front camera, it is 13-megapixel and adequately handles shooting in various conditions. For a device in this price range, the selfie camera is more than fine. You also have various filters to beautify, create short videos, portrait shots, etc.

Autonomous operation

The smartphone has a 6000 mAh battery and support for 10W charging technology. A full recharge takes an hour and with heavy usage you can count on two nights.

While the Infinix Hot 11 Play doesn't have any battery pessette features, such as Ultra Power, it won't disappoint you in terms of autonomous performance. It should be noted that when its charge reaches 100%, the recharging process automatically stops.

Conclusion

Infinix Hot 11 Play is a smartphone that can offer useful features at an affordable price. Apart from beautiful looks, it pleases with a large display, super long autonomous operation and can increase the storage up to 256 GB. The selfie camera is a real trump card in the battle with competitors.

The presence of a fingerprint scanner is a plus, but for many users as a minus will be appreciated the lack of support for fast charging technology and of protection against moisture and dust. Don't count on an NFC chip for mobile payments either.

Pros:

  • 6000 mAh battery capacity
  • Fingerprint scanner and facial recognition technology
  • Sleek design
  • Elongated display with 440 nits brightness
  • Separate memory card slot
  • Readable chipset for this price category
  • Android 11 operating system

Minuses:

  • Absence of fast, reverse and wireless charging
  • Average photo quality
  • Does not handle heavy games and apps well
  • No Gorilla Glass protection
  • Lacks support for NFC chip and 5G networks
