Design

The first thing that attracts attention in Infinix Hot 8 is the huge display with a diagonal of 6.52 inches. Don't worry if you will be comfortable using it. The 20:9 aspect ratio ensures maximum comfort even with one hand. On the plus side, we can also count the low weight of 170 grams. The back panel will win you over by not being slippery.

Thanks to the thin bezels, rounded edges and beautiful colors, this smartphone looks elegant. The back panel is made of high-quality polycarbonate that resembles glass.

You'll find the Infinix Hot 8 in four colours: glossy black, grey, deep iridescent purple and iridescent sky blue. The button and port layout is comfortable. The main camera consists of three lenses. The fingerprint scanner is positioned on the rear panel.

Display

As mentioned earlier, the Infinix Hot 8 has a large display - 6.52 inches. It is HD+. The matrix is an IPS LCD. The screen has a small resolution - 720 x 1600 pixels, but enough to convey colors clearly. The viewing angles are good. The average brightness is 450 nits. It is sufficient for comfortable work with the smartphone regardless of the ambient light level. Even outside in sunny weather, you will not experience difficulties in reading the information.

The large screen of Infinix Hot 8 makes it a good choice for watching movies, videos and playing games.

Performance

The smartphone is available in two configurations. One has 2GB/32GB of memory and a Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 processor, while the other has 4GB/64GB of memory and a Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 on board. Both processors are manufactured using 12nm process technology, with the latter featuring more Cortex-A53 cores. With a PowerVR GE8320 graphics card, they handle everyday tasks well, including listening to music, watching videos and browsing the web. Playing medium-performance games comfortably is completely realistic. For hardcore gamers, this device will not be a good fit.

Memory can be expanded using a microSD memory card up to 256 GB.

Cameras

The rear camera of Infinix Hot 8 is represented by a 13 MP CMOS type main camera with f/1.8 aperture, 1/3.1 matrix size, 26 mm lens width and 1.12 µm pixel size; 2 MP background depth sensor and QVGA sensor. The manufacturer has provided a quad LED flash.

Pictures taken in good lighting will delight you with their quality. The color rendition is good, it has magnificent brightness. In more difficult conditions the quality drops slightly, but then with the help of the LED flash you can achieve good results. With the rear camera there is the possibility of taking panoramic photos, HDR and are on deployed various modes for beautification, as well as achieving a bokeh effect.

The front camera of Infinix Hot 8 is 8-megapixel, f/2.0 aperture and 26mm lens width. Its special feature is the presence of an LED flash that allows the user to take selfies even in low light.

Unlocking the smartphone

The Infinix Hot 8 has several unlocking options. By using the front-facing camera you launch the facial recognition feature. The fingerprint scanner will delight you with a quick response time of just 0.3 seconds.

Autonomous operation

The built-in Li-Po battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh. It can undoubtedly be defined as a strong advantage of Infinix Hot 8, as not many budget smartphones offer such a large capacity. The device doesn't support fast charging technology, so you will have to charge for over 2 hours to get 100% charge.

How long will the Infinix Hot 8 serve you without recharging? At least 17 hours during a call in 4G mode, and almost around the clock with continuous music listening. Watching video will bring the battery indicator down to 0 in 14 hours. Surfing consumes the charge more economically.

Conclusion

Infinix Hot 8 offers for a modest sum a number of excellent features, among which we can highlight a high indicator of autonomous work, a huge display on which you will be happy to watch movies and play games, and also a triple camera. Visually, the smartphone is quite attractive. An undeniable plus is its low weight, which makes it suitable for children.
