Design
This LG model bears the traits of its predecessors. The bezels are relatively thin, and the rounded edges are a prerequisite for a comfortable hold in hand. The dimensions of the phone - 165.2 x 76.7 x 8.3 mm, define it as compact and small. You can easily keep it in a pants pocket or a jacket. It won't even feel like it's in your bag, as it weighs only 165 grams.
Display
The LG K51S offers a beautiful and satisfyingly large 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen size implies seamless and comfortable interaction with various content. The device is compact and can be used with one hand. The front panel is covered with tempered Corning Gorilla Glass.
The screen matrix is IPS LCD type and the resolution is 720 x 1600 pixels. The color rendering is pleasing with large viewing angles. The brightness margin is decent. The pixel density per inch is 270 - a typical indicator for this class of devices.
Performance
LG has put in the cute-looking K51S an 8-core Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 chipset consisting of 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked up to 2.3 GHz and another 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked up to 1.8 GHz. The graphics are handled by a PowerVR GE8320 processor. RAM is ample - 3 GB, and the internal memory is 64 GB, which the user can optionally increase using a microSDCX card up to 2 TB, for which a separate slot is provided.
LG K51S runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system at the factory.
With these specs, the smartphone will offer smooth running with minimum apps and games enabled. The chipset has been designed in such a way that the artificial intelligence system improves the quality of the photos.
The LG K51S supports Bluetooth v5, NFC for contactless payments, USB Type-C port, LTE and Wi-Fi, and also Google Assistant and Google Lens.
Cameras
The rear panel of the LG K51S houses the camera, which has four sensors. It consists of a 32 MP main sensor (wide-angle, PDAF), a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle lens (115 degrees), a 2 MP macro lens and a 2 MP sensor to measure the depth of the frame. It also has an LED flash and a fingerprint scanner. As we already said, thanks to the artificial intelligence technology, the photos become better and with higher detail. The system recognizes different scenes - a person, a pet, food, flowers, sunrise and sunset, landscape or urban conditions.
The front camera is a single 13 MP camera that can take decent selfies.
What you will definitely love about this smartphone is that you can take interesting close-up shots from a distance. They can be animated, bringing them to life. When you are in unfavorable conditions for photos (for example, low light), with the help of Quad-Cell technology, you can reduce noise and increase brightness.
With the LG K51S in hand, you'll be able to shoot exciting videos at 1080 pixels resolution at 30 frames per second. The device offers advanced sound for maximum creative satisfaction and hours of listening to your favorite music.
Autonomous operation
LG K51S features a non-removable Li-Po battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh. Given the model's other features and software optimization, the charge will last you for two nights on medium duty. The energy-efficient processor contributes to the economical consumption.
In standby mode, the LG K51S battery lasts up to 514 hours.
