Design

For Motorola designers, every new product is an occasion to think about attractive solutions for the modern consumer. That's why in Moto E30 we see a combination between attractiveness and style. This is exactly how we can define the triple camera on the rear panel. It is united in one element together with the LED flash. The brand logo is also positioned nearby.

Among the memorable things about the Moto E30 are the colorways. We see grey and blue versions. Both look spectacular given the material the body is made of - plastic.

The Moto E30 is top-to-bottom with familiar dimensions and weight. Nothing about it is extreme. The edges of its body are rounded, which helps to work with it comfortably for hours. The front of the phone is glass and this adds to the good impression. It is almost completely covered by a beautiful and bright screen. A notch in the shape of a circle houses the front camera.

With the Moto E30, there's no risk of the device slipping out of your palm. The back is nicely embossed.

Display

The smartphone features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display that takes up almost 82% of the front panel and has a 20:9 aspect ratio. Its size will appeal to any user who likes to have a clear view of every single detail of the content they are viewing.

The brightness and contrast levels are good, suggesting that playing games and watching videos will be as satisfying as possible.  As a minus we can point out the low pixel density, and as a plus - the picture refresh rate - 90 Hz.

Performance

The technical characteristics of the Moto E30 speak of a smooth and responsive operation of the operating system and all applications and games that are not too resource-intensive. Underneath the beautiful exterior of the smartphone is placed the popular Unisoc Tiger T70 combined with a Mali G52-MC2 GPU. The device comes in a single configuration - with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, which you can expand if needed. This move by the manufacturer will be duly appreciated by anyone who has the habit of accumulating a lot of photos and videos.

Factory Moto E30 runs Android 11 operating system, and it will be upgraded to a newer one over time. Since the processor is a 12nm tech process many suspected that there might be issues with autonomy, but that's not the case. A 4000 mAh battery has been provided for the purpose.

Here is the place to mention that the smartphone offers quality sound. The absence of an NFC chip for contactless payments can be noted as a minus. However, it will become more in demand in the future. You need to consider whether this suits your needs.

Cameras

The Moto E30 has a range of cameras to suit its price class. A triple camera is positioned on the rear panel. Its main module is a 48-megapixel one. It is wide-angle and has an aperture of f/1.8. It is complemented by a 2-megapixel sensor for macro shots and another 2-megapixel sensor that measures depth. The latter will help you take beautiful photos with a bokeh effect.

During the day, the Moto E30's rear camera will give you quality photos and videos at 1080 pixels resolution at 30 frames per second. When you're indoors or it gets dark outside, take advantage of the night mode and LED flash. More complex shooting conditions will add more noise and color distortion.

The Moto E30's selfie camera is a single, 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture. It supports HDR mode, which can take better quality shots.

Autonomous operation

The Moto E30 has a 5000mAh lithium polymer battery that is non-removable. In normal mode of operation, you can get a carefree 24 hours. Busier usage, especially for gaming and watching videos, will expend the charge faster.

The manufacturer has provided a 10W charger in the package. Considering the size of the battery, it will take 2-3 hours to fully charge it.

Conclusion

The Moto E30 is an interesting 2021 model that has everything it needs to serve for at least a few years. On its rear panel, you'll find a fast-running fingerprint scanner. The body is somewhat protected against moisture.
