Intro

Creating a budget phone is a difficult process that requires careful market research and consumer expectations. This is how some compromises can be made with some features at the expense of others and the final price. Companies such as Motorola also contribute to the rich choices available to the consumer. One of the interesting models from 2020 is the Motorola moto e7. With it, we see an emphasis on photographic capabilities.

Design

The appearance of the Motorola moto e7 cannot be said to be original. However, it is pleasant to look at. The colors of the body are strict and sympathetic - gray, blue and coral. The dual camera layout is well thought out. The fingerprint scanner is positioned in a way that is easy for the user to use.

Plastic has been used for the back panel which is pleasant to touch. On the front, the screen is surrounded by wide bezels. The latter at first glance might spoil your impression of the smartphone, but it doesn't have to.

As dimensions Motorola moto e7 pleases with small size and light weight. It is not even 200 grams. This makes the device suitable for carrying in a pocket.

Display

Motorola moto e7 has a quality 6.5-inch OGS screen with low resolution - 1600 x 720 pixels. The picture is not the clearest, but the brightness and contrast make up for it. The aspect ratio of the screen is standard - 20:9, and its area relative to the entire front side of the smartphone is almost 83%. This indicator is good for a budget device.

Performance

Beneath the modest looks of the Motorola moto e7 lies a Mediatek Helio G25 processor combined with a PowerVR GE8320 graphics accelerator, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. A 64 GB configuration is also available on the market. The graphics accelerator is low-end, budget, but fully capable of providing smooth operation of the Android Q interface. The chip used is also budget. It is not suitable for resource-intensive games. Even the minimum settings may be unachievable. In this sense, Motorola moto e7 is not suitable for mobile gaming enthusiasts.

The good news for users is the possibility to increase the storage. A shared memory card slot is provided. This way you can store as many apps, music, videos and photos as you want without worry and hassle.

Cameras

The main camera of Motorola moto e7 is dual. The main unit is 48-megapixel, wide-angle and has an f/1.7 aperture. It is complemented by a 2-megapixel sensor that is designed for macro shots. The combination of the two modules allows users to take detailed daytime photos with natural colours. In the evening and indoors, you may notice more noise and blur.

In turn, the selfie camera is single. It's 5-megapixel and doesn't have an LED flash like the rear camera.

Both cameras can record video at 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. This is a standard benchmark for this class of smartphones.

The camera application of Motorola moto e7 has not changed from that in the previous models. Anyone who has the pleasure of knowing the brand's smartphones will quickly adapt to working with the new model. The usual shooting modes, settings and filters are available.

Autonomous operation

Another strong point of the Motorola moto e7, besides the photo capabilities, we see in the battery. It has a capacity of 4000 mAh. Such a charge provides up to 9 hours of active use without interruption. In standby mode, the smartphone is able to last a whole week, and in normal operation mode - up to 4 days. If you use Motorola moto e7 mainly for calls, you can reach for the charger only after 30 hours.

The manufacturer has provided fast charging technology, which can't but be a welcome feature for the user. However, there is no wireless charging.

Conclusion

Motorola moto e7 is an up-to-date budget solution in the market that you will feel comfortable working with for at least a few years. The model offers a combination of quality craftsmanship, good cameras, a battery with enviable capacity and a fast fingerprint scanner that will keep your personal data safe.

  • Fingerprint scanner
  • Average performance
  • Excellent autonomous operation
  • 2 SIM card support
  • Storage expansion capability
  • Good cameras for this price class
  • Fast charging technology support
  • Case has a water-repellent coating

Minuses:

  • Does not support NFC
