Motorola Moto G20 Review

Nowadays, the consumer can hardly be amazed with a smartphone that belongs to the low and middle price range. The task seems impossible, but not for Motorola. As an experienced developer, the company is able to create functional and technological devices that are devoid of serious compromises. Another success in this direction is the Motorola G20.

Design

Visually, the device does not surprise with new design solutions. Obviously, there is no emphasis on aesthetics. At the same time, the manufacturer has relied on bright youthful colors of the case. They are harmoniously combined with the original block of four cameras and the brand logo, combined with the fingerprint scanner.

Motorola G20 is compact in size. It sits nicely in the palm of your hand and has a typical weight for a modern smartphone - 200 grams. The rounded edges of the case contribute to the positive evaluation. The frames around the screen are relatively thin, which suggests that the device belongs to the budget class.

Display

Motorola G20 has a large 6.5-inch display with thin bezels and a nice layout of the slot for the front camera above it. It occupies 81.6% of the area of the front panel. The matrix is IPS LCD and leaves positive and negative impressions. The brightness margin will be sufficient in most cases. The good contrast and the refresh rate of the picture - 90 Hz, help to visibly smoother and more natural visualization of the content.

The resolution of the display is 1600x720 pixels. It could have been more, but given the price of the device, obviously a compromise had to be made here. As a result, the images are not as clear as possible. The ratio of the parties is 20: 9. It predisposes to pleasant interaction with different types of content - movies, videos, photos and more.

Productivity

Technically, the Motorola G20 may look unusual. The processor is a new Unisoc T700, supported by 4GB of RAM and graphics adapter MaliG52MC2. This combination is rare, but not bad. The chipset handles the Android 11 interface, and even many modern games succeed. You can easily try Call of Duty, for example. Heavier games, which are resource-intensive, we recommend leaving for a gaming smartphone, as there are many on the market.

As for the storage, it can be 64 or 128 GB depending on the modification. For most users, the first option will suffice. However, consider buying a Motorola G20 with more memory. There is the issue of sacrificing the slot of one SIM card in order to insert a MicroSD card.

Cameras

The photographic capabilities of the smartphone are good for its price. The rear camera is quadruple and consists of a 48 MP main module with an aperture of f / 1.7 and two additional 2 MP. The latter are created not only for superb landscape photos, but also for macro photos and exciting bokeh shots. Given their characteristics, we recommend shooting mainly in daylight. The photo modules try to cope with the evening conditions, but the shots still have noise and much less detail than expected. The 8-megapixel module has a 118-degree angle. This way you can fit many more people or objects in a frame.

The front camera of the Motorola G20 is a single, 13-megapixel camera with an aperture of f / 2.2. It as well as the main support HDR. The selfies with the camera turn out well, completely worthy of the price range of the camera. With more practice and skillful use of light in the environment you can achieve enviable results.

With the Motorola G20 in hand, you can record decent videos with a resolution of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second.

Autonomous work

Fans of greater battery life will love the Motorola G20 because of the 5000 mAh battery. It definitely allows you to reach for the charger less often. With an active screen, the battery lasts for about 10-12 hours. With more moderate use, you can count on at least 24 hours.

A 10W charger comes with the device.

Conclusion

Among the advantages of this Motorola model is the support of the NFC module and protection against moisture. It is a balanced device and is a strong competitor in the budget market. It deserves your attention with its beautiful display with a picture refresh rate of 90 Hz.

As photographic opportunities you can ask for more, but there is no emphasis on them. Motorla G20 is a suitable choice for young people and fans of social networks. Its performance ensures seamless use of a variety of applications. However, it can hardly be called gaming. Not suitable for resource-intensive games.
