Design

The Motorola G60 is designed to be rugged and durable. It has a plastic body and weighs 225 grams, which positions it among the heavier smartphones on the market. The large battery capacity contributes to its thickness of almost 1 cm. To prevent scratches and dirt accumulation, we recommend wearing the Motorola G60 in a silicone case.

On the rear panel of the smartphone there is a triple camera, located vertically on the upper left side of the device. This solution stands stylishly and has already proven to be a good fit. The fingerprint scanner is convenient to use and, if you haven't decided to use it by now, it's time to do so.

Display

If you're looking for a smartphone with a beautiful and huge display, the Motorola G60 offers 6.8 inches and an IPS matrix with 120 Hz picture refresh. The resolution is FHD+. There is a small notch at the top of the display where the front camera is positioned. The bezels are large, but not in a bad way.

On such a screen you will have the pleasure of working pleasantly with any content - photos, videos, social networks, e-books, etc. Colours change only slightly when viewed at an angle. The brightness level is ample, even if you're outdoors. The refresh rate, which can be switched from 60 to 120 Hz, is noteworthy. WideVine L1 certification is supported on the Motorola G60 for cross-platform HD content viewing.

Performance

At the heart of the Motorola G60 is a Snapdragon 732G processor. This powerful solution handles everyday tasks without a problem. It will satisfy the average user's requirements such as capabilities to handle even heavy applications. As for gaming, the graphics quality (Adreno 618) and frame rate suggest a good level.

Motorola G60 is marketed with 6GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded up to 1 TB using the hybrid SIM card slot.

Factory-wise, the smartphone runs on Android 11 operating system.

Cameras

A key feature of the Motorola G60 is the triple rear camera. Its main module is a 108-megapixel, wide-angle, f/1.9 aperture camera. It is complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. With this smartphone, you can take beautiful photos with medium detail and accurate color rendition. The dynamic range is decent.

While testing the photo capabilities of Motorola G60, you will notice that the macro photos are quite good. This is partly due to the high resolution of the sensor. You also have a camera for the bokeh effect. It greatly simplifies the creation of this type of photos.

As for the night shots, the lack of light takes its toll. A lot of detail is lost and it's hard to create a quality photo that you can proudly share on social media. You can test the built-in night mode for night shots. It does a somewhat good job of improving the quality.

The Motorola G60 also features a 32-megapixel selfie camera. It will impress you with its good results. There are also standard modes to keep you entertained at your leisure.

In case you are in the habit of shooting videos with your phone, you should know that this Motorola model can create videos with a maximum 4K resolution at 30 to 120 frames per second.

Autonomous operation

Motorola G60 is equipped with a lithium polymer battery with a capacity of 6000 mAh. With proper use - i.e. without the strain of constantly playing games or watching videos, you can count on several days of autonomous operation. If you use it intensively, you'll need to reach for the charger after half a day.

Charging the battery is done using a 20W charger. It takes about 2 hours. There is no reverse or wireless charging support.

Conclusion

Motorola G60 is an interesting modern smartphone. It combines ruggedness, multi-functionality and excellent performance. The 108-megapixel sensor is impressive, but to make the most of its capabilities, you need to show knowledge and experience. Positively impressive are the long autonomous operation and the operating system.

If you are looking for an up-to-date model at a low price, do not hesitate to choose the Motorola G60. Another reason to prefer it is the protection against water.
