The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2015) hit the market shortly after its Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 brethren. It impresses with a pleasant appearance. Compared to the then hit among flagships Galaxy S5, this model is characterized by lower performance, simpler camera, non-removable battery, absence of fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor and lack of protection against water. The device fits into the middle price range.

In appearance, the Galaxy A series smartphones have quite similar features. Despite the manufacturer's sharp switch from plastic to metal as far as craftsmanship is concerned, the new models have remained the same in appearance as the previous ones. That is, visually they can be recognized if you are a fan of their design.

On the market, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2015) is available in white, black and gold. The dimensions of the smartphone are 151 x 76.2 x 6.3 mm. Its weight is 141 grams. It is a pleasantly slim smartphone that lies nicely in the palm of the user. It is thinner than the Note 4. You will get used to the screen size in no time. The slim body makes the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2015) extremely comfortable in everyday use.

The smartphone has a superAMOLED display with a diagonal of 5.5 inches and Full DH resolution. The pixel density per inch - 401. All the screen color adjustment modes that we know from previous models are available.

The screen impresses from all points of view. It offers maximum settings to suit every taste. If you want brighter colors, go for it. If you're looking for more natural - go for them. The screen behaves well in the sun. For this price range, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2015) has one of the best quality screens.

On the market you will find the smartphone in two modifications - on a Qualcomm chipset and on Exynos. The chipset Snapdragon 615 - MSM8939 consists of four cores A53 64 bits, clock speed up to 1.5 GHz + four cores up to 1 GHz. The graphics accelerator is Adreno 405. The model supports work with 2 SIM cards. The Exynos 5 Octa 5430 chipset in turn runs 8 cores, four of which are Cortex A15 up to 1.8 GHz and four Cortex A7 up to 1.3 GHz. The Mali T628 MP6 is responsible for the graphics.

RAM is 2 GB and internal storage is 16 GB, of which 12 GB is actually available to the user. With the help of a memory card up to 64 GB you can have more memory.

There are specifics in the A series devices. Simultaneous use of 2 SIM cards and a memory card is not possible. You can use the second slot for either a memory card or a SIM card. The user must determine which is more important to him.

The smartphone is factory running Android 4.4.4 operating system with TouchWiz.

The main camera of the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2015) is 13 MP. It has similar specs to those of the flagship cameras a year earlier. The digital camera modules are the same as in the Galaxy A5. The photos in darkness conditions come with slightly lower quality. The front camera does not have autofocus. It has a resolution of 5 MP with an aperture of f/2.2. Video is captured at a maximum resolution of 1080 pixels. For the popular selfie-style entertainment, there is a special group selfie mode and also GIF-animated photos. The animated selfie shooting mode allows up to 20 photos to be taken in continuous mode and automatically merged into a single animated GIF that replaces the short video. With the front-facing camera, the user can shoot without making contact with the camera - using an outstretched palm gesture.

Autonomous operation

The built-in Li-Ion battery has a capacity of 2600 mAh, which is a relatively low figure. The continuous video viewing time is 8.5 hours. The manufacturer has provided two power saving modes - regular and extreme. In 3D game mode, you can count on almost 4 hours of operation. From 0 to 100%, the battery recharges in 2.5 hours.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2015) is a nice-looking smartphone that offers loud and clear sound. It is remarkably slim. Made of quality materials. Its hardware platform is a compromise between modern flagships and typical mid-range devices. This model is perfect for people who have no pretensions of holding a flagship in their hands. Buying it, you get a satisfactory level of performance, a quality screen, a normal camera.

  • Slim metal body;
  • Quality and large screen;
  • Good cameras for this price range.

  • Average autonomous operation;
  • Absence of a missed event indicator.
