At one point, it received models that lacked enough features or performance to become a hit on the market. In the following lines, we'll talk about the Samsung Galaxy M22, the device that changed that and is making a bid for solid popularity among consumers. It was introduced in September 2021 and instantly caught the attention of competitors.

Design

Visually, the Samsung Galaxy M22 looks like a worthy representative of the series. On the front, we see a conservatively shaped positioning of the selfie camera. A notch at the top of the screen is provided for it. Around the latter there are small frames. The fingerprint scanner you will find on the page, and the block of four cameras on the rear panel is shaped in a square.

So far, there's nothing special about the design of the Samsung Galaxy M22. It's as if it relies on solutions that are well known to the user. Nevertheless, the smartphone looks cute. Its casing is made of glossy plastic and it is advisable to wear a case to avoid scratches. However, this will conceal the back, which is spectacularly shaped.

The Samsung Galaxy M22 is available in several colours white, black and blue. All three look elegant and will complement your style. Finally, we can't help but mention that the device is lightweight - weighing just over 180 grams.

Display

Display quality is key for Samsung. That's why the Samsung Galaxy M22 is equipped with a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The modest resolution is explained by the manufacturer's intention to increase the phablet's autonomous operation. The bad thing is that it also affects the picture, small fonts are slightly blurred. However, the brightness and contrast are at a good level. You'll be able to read the screen even when it's sunny outside.

The smoothness of the picture is implied by its 90 Hz refresh rate.

Performance

The specifications from the use of AMOLED display allow the user to enjoy gaming power. At the heart of the Samsung Galaxy M22 is placed a MediaTek Helio G80 processor combined with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and a Mali-G52 MC2 video accelerator. This combination guarantees smoothness during gaming, but is also potential enough to handle heavier games.

Since the smartphone comes in several configurations depending on the memory, you can choose storage of 64 or 128 GB. If these seem small to you, Samsung has provided a memory card slot. This way, you can pile up plenty of videos, photos and music.

The factory Samsung Galaxy M22 runs Android 11 and One UI Core 3.1 operating system.

Cameras

We look at the cameras and what to see. On the rear panel of the Samsung Galaxy M22 is positioned a quad camera, whose main module is 48 MP. It is wide-angle and has an f/2.0 aperture. It is complemented by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle module with a 123-degree viewing angle, a 2-megapixel model for macro shots and a 2-megapixel sensor for creating shots with a bokeh effect.

As a result, the rear camera is closer to the flagship counterparts. Photos are saturated and contrasty, with plenty of detail and no noise. However, insufficient ambient light will be a challenge. Getting a perfect shot in such conditions will be more difficult. You can rely on electronic stabilization if you shoot Full HD videos at 30 frames per second.

The selfie camera on the Samsung Galaxy M22 is single, wide-angle and 13-megapixel. It will take decent selfies.

Autonomous operation

The chipset placed in the smartphone does not feature excessive heating or power consumption. That's why the 5000 mAh battery will give you a day and a half of autonomous work. With more moderate use - and more.

In order not to wait long for the battery charge to fill up, the South Korean manufacturer has equipped the Samsung Galaxy M22 with support for 25 W fast charging technology.

Conclusion

Samsung Galaxy M22 is a modern and balanced model, a worthy representative of Samsung's M-series. It is not expensive, but it is reliable and provides long autonomous operation. On its large and beautiful display you will be happy to watch photos and videos and play games. Contactless payment support is an added motivation if you are used to using this functionality or plan to do so.

Another solid motivation to choose the Samsung Galaxy M22 is the quality of photos you can take with it.
