Design
Visually, the Samsung s6 is a complete copy of the S6 Edge, but its body is made in the classic touchscreen smartphone shape. The display is flat and the front and back of the device are covered with Gorilla Glass 4. The casing itself is in a frame made of aircraft aluminum. With this, Samsung underlines the exclusivity of the model and its rank in the smartphone world.
In terms of dimensions, the Samsung s6 is perfect. Neither too big nor too small. You will carry it with pleasure in your back pocket.
Display
The smartphone is equipped with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The pixel density per inch is 577. This is quite a high indicator, which can be noticed in the picture quality - it is magnificent. The colour rendering is on par thanks to the Super AMOLED matrix. The user can choose from four modes - adaptive, cinema, photo and basic. The last two are preferable, as the colors are the most realistic. If you like more saturated shades, boldly choose one of the first two.
Performance
At the heart of the Samsung s6 lies a 14nm 64-bit Exynos 7420 processor, which consists of 4+4 cores running at 2.1 GHz and 1.5 GHz. A Mali-T760 chip is responsible for graphics processing. These are complemented by 3GB of LPDDR4-type RAM and 32, 64 or 128 GB of internal storage depending on the configuration. There is no memory card slot, which means you need to carefully consider your storage needs.
These technical parameters allow the Samsung s6 to demonstrate enviable performance.
The smartphone runs Android 5.0.2. operating system at the factory and a revamped company interface, which includes a new player. The latter has retained its functionality, but vee has a much easier to navigate interface. As a result, the sound quality of the Samsung s6 will please music lovers. The sound is loud and clear.
Cameras
Samsung s6 is a flagship device with top cameras. The main module is a 16-megapixel with f/1.9 aperture and optical image stabilization. The lens can capture more light, which has significantly affected the quality of the photos.
The front camera, in turn, is a 5-megapixel one. With the Samsung s6, you can record 4K resolution video at 30 frames per second.
Close to the camera you will find the heart rate monitor. With its help in the S Health app, you can monitor your health, including your stress level. Compared to the predecessor Samsung s6 smartphone, the function has been improved and works faster. The app has a new design and additional features. You can track physical activity such as walking, running, cycling, measure your blood oxygen level, track how much water or coffee you drink.
Autonomous operation
The Samsung s6 packs a slightly smaller battery than the Galaxy S6 Edge - 2550 mAh. However, the smartphone shows a similar level of autonomous operation. On an average load, you can count on about 20 hours of operation. More intensive usage will require recharging after about 12 hours.
If you're a music lover, you can listen to uninterrupted music for up to 49 hours before needing to recharge the battery.
One of the benefits of this flagship is the ability to use Samsung Adaptive and Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 fast charging technology. In just 10 minutes, you can raise the charge from 10% to 25% and count on a new 4 hours of operation.
Conclusion
Compared to Samsung's previous flagship, the Galaxy S6 shows better performance in many areas. It looks more sympathetic and contemporary.
