Design
Sony Xperia 1 II can be found in black, white and purple. Its casing is protected to IP68 standard. Visually, it looks like a product from the classicism era. It has retained many traditional elements that are combined with moisture protection, a matte glass back, a more rectangular body and noticeable bezels on the top and bottom of the screen.
Display
The screen on the Sony Xperia 1 ii is good. It's a 4K HDR CinemaWide™ OLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 6.5-inch diagonal. Watching videos on such a screen is real fun. For this purpose, Sony engineers have tried their best and have created LOOK color correction templates. They allow you to shoot in different styles and create the right mood.
Of course, HDR support and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 are present. The bezels aren't record thin, but the front stereo speakers do have Dolby Atmos.
Performance
It in no way provokes criticism, as the Japanese have equipped their flagship Sony Xperia 1 ii with a powerful Snapdragon 865 processor, which is defined as one of the best of the Qualcomm company.
As for the RAM, it is 8 GB. The internal storage is 256 GB. The operating system is Android 10.
Cameras
As per the manufacturer's assurances, the Xperia 1 ii has taken a serious leap forward. It is the epitome of the best and the coolest technology to date. There are 3 main cameras, each with 12 MP optics from the Zeiss company. In addition to the main modules, the device has received a ToF module to measure the depth of frame.
In the Xperia 1 ii we see technological elements from the professional Alpha cameras. For example, Imaging Edge allows to use the device as a control panel for Alpha cameras and to adjust ISO, focus and other parameters. Cinematography Pro is tuned by Sony's Professional Solutions division and allows quality videos to be shot according to the user's own goals.
The front camera is an 8-megapixel (24mm, f/2.4).
The video shooting app offers a Cinema Pro interface based on CineAlta technology with control functions including frame composition guidance, touch focus, auto exposure, white balance adjustment and more.
Autonomous operation
Compared to the Xperia 1 that was released a year earlier, the new flagship features 4000 mAh. (i.e. 700 mAh more). We also get wireless charging from Sony. In almost half an hour, the user can recharge from 0 to 50%.
Conclusion
The Xperia 1 ii is a sophisticated modern device that incorporates a bunch of useful and established advancements from the camera market. It attracts attention with 2 SIM card slots, increased RAM, larger battery capacity, support for Wi-Fi 6 standard and upgraded Bluetooth 5.1.
