Highlights
The Vivo X70 Pro Plus features a quad rear camera with Zeiss optics and will delight you with high quality photos
Inside lies a top processor
It has an interesting design and is protected against the ingress of dust and water in its IP68 standard housing
Design
The look of the Vivo X70 Pro Plus will appeal to many users. On the front panel, you will find the small front camera module. The bezels are quite thin and as a result the working area occupies 90.1% of the entire screen. The edges of the latter are strongly rounded, which stands spectacularly. However, it can provoke discomfort when working with content. The rear panel is also interesting. In its upper left part is a block of cameras.
The body of the smartphone is matte, pleasant to the touch and its surface does not accumulate fingerprints at all.
Compared to the standard in 2021, the Vivo X70 Pro Plus is heavy and large in dimensions. This is somewhat logical, as quite a few flagships have similar parameters. Samsung S21 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra are examples of this.
The IP68 standard protection inspires confidence that you can use the smartphone for a long time without damage. In theory, it is invulnerable if you splash it with water or immerse it in such for about 30 minutes. The front panel is also reinforced - Corning Gorilla Glass Victus tempered glass is placed there.
Display
One of the positives of the Vivo X70 Pro Plus is the quality of its screen. The smartphone sports a 6.78-inch latest generation E5 display from Samsung. Its resolution is 3200 x 1440 pixels and the maximum brightness is an impressive 1500 nits. These impressive parameters cannot be passed by just like that. Moreover, the matrix is not LTPS, but LTPO AMELED. Guessing the latter, we should say that it is more energy efficient and supports 1 to 120 Hz refresh rate adjustment over 1 Hz. You also get HDR+ mode and 1 billion color recognition.
What it lacks on the Vivo X70 Pro Plus's screen is o True Tone feature. That is, you'll have to manually adjust the screen's brightness and warmth.
Performance
At the heart of the Vivo X70 Pro Plus lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ 5G, a top chip that can sometimes lead to overheating, however. The manufacturer has tried to address the issue, but only somewhat. The Adreno 660 is responsible for the graphics. RAM can be 8 or 12 GB and 256 or 512 GB of storage, respectively. This model of Vivo does not support the ability to insert a memory card.
Tests show that with the Vivo X70 Pro Plus you can play comfortably and enjoy the graphics of games and applications. However, after 30 minutes, the case temperature may rise.
Cameras
The Vivo X70 Pro Plus, as we've already said, is positioned as ideal for photos. Each of its sensors is equipped with optical stabilization. It is best expressed when using the ultra-wide-angle module. The use of Zeiss optics also speaks for the photo capabilities. We should also highlight the presence of a proprietary V1 chip, which significantly increases the quality of both the photos and the videos you will take at night.
The rear camera of the smartphone is quad. The main module is 50-megapixel with f/1.6 aperture and laser autofocus. It is complemented by an 8-megapixel telephoto module with 5x zoom and a 12-megapixel telephoto module with 2x zoom. The fourth sensor is a 48-megapixel one with an ultra-wide angle of 114 degrees.
The front camera on the Vivo X70 Pro Plus isn't bad, but it doesn't impress as much as the main one. It's single and includes a 32-megapixel module.
Autonomous operation
You shouldn't expect record performance from the Vivo X70 Pro Plus's autonomous operation. The smartphone is equipped with a 4500 mAh battery. Given the diagonal of the screen, the charge may be a bit. Tests suggest that you can count on about 7-8 hours of heavy usage. With more moderate use, you'll be reaching for the charger after around the clock.
On the plus side, the manufacturer has provided a 50W wireless charging feature and a 55W fast charging feature. Even reverse charging is present, i.e. you can use the device as an external battery.
Conclusion
The Vivo X70 Pro Plus is a successful flagship. It has more advantages than disadvantages. It will appeal to anyone looking for a top smartphone with a beautiful and large screen and quality cameras. Its price is adequate considering the processor and advanced technology it is endowed with.
