Design

In appearance, the Poco F2 Pro stands out. There are already few devices that have screens without notches. The back of the smartphone looks not bad. You can say that to some extent it reminds another model on the market - Huawei Mate 30.

The first thing that is noticeable from the first touch are the dimensions and weight. Poco F2 Pro is not small. The diagonal of its screen is as much as 6.67 inches. In addition, the device is thick - almost 9 mm. Its weight is towards 220 grams. A real test will be for people who are used to a light smartphone, but it is worth it for certain reasons.

On the top of the device are located infrared port and 3.5 mm minijack. Next to them is a camera unit. There is nothing new in it. It is absolutely identical to the one in the Mi 9T Pro, for example.

The front and rear panel of the Poco F2 Pro is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone comes in several colors - blue, white, purple and gray.

In the Poco F2 Pro, the fingerprint scanner is below the screen. It works robustly, slightly slower than the fastest solutions on the market, but precise.

Display

As mentioned before, the Poco F2 Pro has a large display. Its diagonal is 6.67 inches. The pixel density is 395 per inch. The screen is a Full HD+, AMOLED with different brightness metrics. Especially in auto mode this indicator is maximum - about 1200.

The display of the Poco F2 Pro occupies 87.2% of the front panel area.

Performance

In terms of performance, the Poco F2 Pro is a super gaming device. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 flagship processor, 6/8 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256 GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.  The processor contains 8 cores (1x2.84 GHz Kryo 585 + 3x2.42 GHz Kryo 585 + 4x1.80 GHz Kryo 585). Adreno 650 is responsible for graphics.

If you're looking for an affordable gaming device, the Poco F2 Pro should be among the first candidates on your list. It runs Android 10 operating system.

Cameras

The cameras of the Poco F2 Pro cannot be said to be its strong point. The main Sony IMX 686 module is 64 MP and doesn't have optical stabilization. Photos are of a decent level if you take them in good light. However, it can be said that for this price range, the manufacturer could have provided something stronger. Mobile photography enthusiasts will have to make an effort with the photo capabilities of this model.

Separately, we should mention the 5 MP tele/macro module (f/2.2). With its help you will take really impressive macro photos. However, optical zoom is absent.

The main camera of the Poco F2 Pro has a 13-megapixel module, ultra-wide-angle, and a 2-megapixel whose task is to measure the depth of the frame. Xiaomi has provided dual LED flash, panorama shooting mode and HDR for maximum user satisfaction.

With the main camera, you can shoot videos with a resolution of up to 4320 pixels at 24 or 30 frames per second. When shooting at 960 frames per second, videos are at 1080 pixels resolution.

The front camera of the Poco F2 Pro is 20 MP (f/2.2)and features a miniperiscope mechanism. With it, you'll be able to show off good quality photos and share selfies of the amazing places you visit.

Autonomous operation

Poco F2 Pro has a non-removable battery with a capacity of 4700 mAh. With such exciting potential, you can expect excellent autonomous performance. The average user can count on up to two days before needing to recharge their smartphone. If you load the device more, prepare the charger after a day or a day and a half.

Xiaomi has provided Quick Charge 4+ fast charging technology.

Conclusion

Poco F2 Pro is a wonderful choice of smartphone. It offers a satisfyingly large display, high picture quality, modern flagship goodies, interesting body colors, and decent photo capabilities. For its price, it's a reasonable investment. It will definitely appeal to people looking for NFC, a 5mm audio jack, an infrared port and a flagship processor all in one place.
