Intro

In 2020, alongside the Redmi 10X and Redmi 10X Pro with 5G network support, the Chinese company Xiaomi also introduced a 4G version - Redmi 10X 4G. However, the differences between the devices do not end there.

Redmi 10X 4G represents the most budget model in the 10X series. That doesn't mean you won't be impressed by its features. On the contrary. There is plenty to see. The attractive price of the device goes hand-in-hand with a large screen size, a decent high-resolution IPS LCD matrix, a mid-budget Helio G85 processor, and quite a bit of RAM. Moreover, the manufacturer hasn't forgotten to equip the Redmi 10X 4G with a quad rear camera whose main module is 48 MP. This smartphone will also attract you with the support of fast charging technology.

What tasks is it perfect for? For watching videos, reading, playing games and browsing social networks. The operating system is familiar and comfortably laid out.

Design

Redmi 10X 4G impresses from the first glance with a pleasing appearance. The front camera cut into the screen is noticeable. The small bezels are pleasing and in keeping with modern trends. The fingerprint scanner you will find below the rear camera, which for some users may be considered as an unfortunate decision. All control buttons for placement on the right side of the smartphone. The camera unit will evoke associations with the Redmi Note 9.

The Redmi 10X 4G can be found in the market in three colours - blue, green and white. Its dimensions are standard for today's market - 199 grams at 162.3 x 77.2 x 8.9 mm.

Display

The Redmi 10X 4G has a screen size of 6.53 inches at an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. This is an older format, but gives an excellent opportunity to hold the device with one hand at such dimensions. The front and back panel are covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protective glass.

The matrix is an IPS LCD type and has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Considering the price of the device this is a good solution. Characteristic of it is that the color rendering is realistic with large viewing angles. There is stock brightness. The pixel density per inch is 395.

Performance

A smooth and comfortable experience with the Redmi 10X 4G is ensured by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor configuration, which is positioned as a mid-budget chipset. It is made using 12nm process technology. It comes with 4 or 6 GB of RAM. Thus, the system handles most modern applications, including games, beautifully. Graphics are handled by a separate Mali-G52 MC2 core. The internal memory is 128 GB. If you insist on having more - the Redmi 10X 4G can work with an SD card.

Cameras

We mentioned right at the start one of the Redmi 10X 4G's merits. That's the rear camera, which is a quad-camera unit. Each sensor is responsible for a specific task. Here's what they are: 48 MP (f/1.8, 26 mm), 8 MP (f/2.2, 16 mm) - wide-format , 118 degrees, and two 2 MP modules, the first of which is designed for macro shots, and the second is tasked with determining the depth of the frame.

For the stated value of the smartphone, the quality of the photos pleases with many details, including support for an artificial intelligence system.

The front-facing camera on the Redmi 10X 4G is a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/2.3 aperture. It supports Panorama feature. It can shoot videos at 1080 pixels resolution at 30 frames per second.  We recommend the front-facing camera for anyone who likes to take selfies and have video chats with friends and family.

Autonomous operation

The smartphone has a non-removable battery with a capacity of 5020 mAh. It is ample for using Redmi 10X 4G for two days. The manufacturer has provided support for 18W fast charging technology as well as 9W reverse charging. In an hour and a half, you will fully recharge the Redmi 10X 4G.

Conclusion

The world of smartphones is getting more and more interesting. It's safe to say that the Redmi 10X 4G is a budget and multi-function smartphone, and the former shouldn't make you underestimate it. While it doesn't support fifth-generation networks, it has a quality camera unit, a powerful processor and a bunch of modern-level features. Factory-wise, the device comes with MIUI 12. No NFC modem is provided. The Corning Gorilla Glass protected screen ensures that the device is not afraid of scratches.
