Another Huawei smartphone with Kirin 710 chip is on the market. The Huawei Y9s shares some of the external and internal features of its Honor 9x relative. It is equipped with a 48 MP rear camera sensor and an ejectable front camera. Design

Looking at the Huawei Y9s, one can immediately detect similarities with other models of the company. The general trends in the design of the body part are noticeable, and the removable module is quite attractive.

The smartphone has all the currently trending features - minimalistic front bezels, maximum screen size, body with classic configuration, rounded edges and corners, etc. The rear panel, which is made of glass, traditionally houses the main camera. You'll see it in the top left corner. The company's logo is featured at the bottom.

Display

In the Huawei Y9s, the manufacturer has relied on the Kirin 710 chipset, which is not the most up-to-date in the market. The RAM is 6 GB. It is ample to run various applications and game processes. The processor, which is executed on a 12-nm technological process, implements support for artificial intelligence systems, which are actively used in the creation of quality photos. The Mali-G51 MP4 video accelerator is responsible for graphics.

The internal memory is 128 GB. It can be increased using a 512 GB memory card.

Cameras

Particular attention should be paid to the photographic capabilities of the Huawei Y9s. The rear camera goes with an LED flash. It is equipped with three sensors. The main one is 48 MP in symbiosis with an f/1.8 lens. We also find a sensor analyzing the depth of the scene, which has a resolution of 2 MP and an aperture of f/2.4. The third sensor is an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle one with viewing angles up to 120 degrees and an f/2.4 aperture. The main camera also shoots panorama in HDR mode. Video creation is done in 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second.

The removable front camera has a 16 MP resolution sensor and f/2.2 aperture.

The front camera functions with high dynamic range. It captures video at 1080 pixels resolution and at 60 frames per second.

Fingerprint scanner

The data safety in the device are protected by fingerprint scanner. The sensor is located on the side of the device. It detects the user's fingerprint in just a fraction of a second and reacts instantly.

Autonomous operation

Huawei Y9s has a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh. It is non-removable and lithium polymer. It will win you over with the fact that it will last up to two nights with a moderate level of usage. In continuous phone talk mode, the device will run for about 40 hours, and in continuous audio playback mode, 80 hours.

Charge recovery is via a 10-watt charger.

Finally, we have to say that the Huawei Y9s makes a good first impression. The concept of the device is to take the best from its predecessors. The resemblance to the Honor 9X and 9X Pro is clearly noticeable. Among its key features, we have to attribute the presence of a 48 MP rear camera, an ejectable front camera, a Kirin 710 processor and 6/128 GB memory. The large battery is also an advantage.

The night mode of the Huawei Y9s is one of the best for this price category. To get the maximum result, you need to hold the device still. We recommend using a tripod or tripod.

This model does not bring with it any serious innovations. As for the front camera, such a solution definitely wins applause and will appeal to the youth audience. Absence of moisture protection creates certain limitations for the user.
