In March 2019, the South Korean company unveiled the revamped Galaxy A smartphone series. At that time, it was represented by three models - Galaxy A50, Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A20, which, thanks to a good price / functionality ratio, enjoyed interest among consumers. A few months later, Samsung updated part of the series, introducing the Galaxy A50S and Galaxy A30S. Let us tell you in more detail about the latter.
If before the Galaxy A30 could barely distinguish itself without difficulty from the older brother Galaxy A50, with the A30s things get even more complicated. The dimensions are similar, here's the triple camera, we also see the in-display fingerprint scanner. In appearance, these two models differ only in the different notches in the screen below the front camera.
The Galaxy A30s comes in four colour options - black, white, green and violet. Its dimensions are virtually the same as the previous generation - 158.5x74.7x7.8mm.
The screen resolution of the Galaxy A30s is 1560 x 720 pixels, i.e. HD+. In its settings, we see the option to turn on a blue light filter. In this way, the user can reduce eye fatigue by limiting the radiation from the screen.
Performance and memory
This Samsung model comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. A proprietary Samsung Exynos 7904 chipset, manufactured using o 14nm FinFET process, is used as the central processor. A dual-core Mali-G71 MP2 GPU is responsible for graphics.
In the Galaxy A30s, the company has relied on a triple main camera, which fully corresponds in parameters to the camera of the Galaxy A50, consisting of a 25 MP main module from Sony (IMX576) with f1.7 optics, an additional module with 8 MP resolution and a wide-angle lens (123 degrees), whose aperture is f2.2, and also a 5 MP sensor of its own production. Autofocus and LED flash are provided.
The camera interface of the Galaxy A30s is identical to that in the Galaxy A50.
With this smartphone, you will shoot video in standard Full HD (1920x1080) resolution.
The Galaxy A30S is equipped with a battery with a decent capacity - 4000 mAh. The charge is enough for a full working day. In gaming mode, the smartphone will need recharging after about 5 hours.
For the Galaxy A30s, you can choose from three battery modes: optimized, medium economy and maximum economy.
By releasing this model on the market, Samsung has set another challenge to the competitors fighting for the consumer's attention in this price range. The Galaxy A30s offers a good balance of price and functionality. What you have in front of you is not just a cosmetically updated Galaxy A30, but a device with new features that are more advanced compared to its predecessors.
Like every smartphone on the market, this one has its advantages and disadvantages.
